Our in-house bar can provide full-bar services for your event. We offer a variety of domestic and microbrew beers, wine, and a wide-array of liquor and mixers served by our professional bartending staff.
Bar service can be offered several different ways at the complete discretion of the hosting party. You can choose:
- Hosted – drink costs covered by host.
- No Host – guests buy their own drinks.
- Hosted portions or tickets.
Talk with your Event Coordinator to determine which is right for your event.
The following is a list of specific policies and conditions for bar services at The Historic Ballroom. These policies are in place in order to comply with state laws concerning alcohol consumption and service, and for the safety and care of the guests, employees, and facilities at The Historic Ballroom.
Bar services are intended to compliment events, not to become the main event.
For bar services at The Historic Ballroom, catering services by The Historic Ballroom are required as per licensing requirements.
The bar will be closed at least half an hour before the scheduled end of the event, shall not exceed six (6) hours in operation, and shall not operate past midnight (12:00 AM).
The Historic Ballroom has been granted a license by the Idaho State Police to serve alcohol; as a licensee, it our responsibility to ensure that Idaho laws are being followed during events. Therefore, all alcohol must be provided by and served by The Historic Ballroom. Outside alcohol is expressly forbidden from the premises of The Historic Ballroom. Should outside alcohol be found, guests will first be asked to take outside alcohol to their vehicles; upon a second violation, guests will be asked to leave the premises.
Proof of Identification and Minors
The Historic Ballroom has a zero tolerance policy towards alcohol consumption and service to persons under the age of 21 (minors); therefore, anyone wishing to purchase and/or consume alcohol on the premises must be prepared to provide government-issued identification to the bartender (including the bridal party). Any person under the age of 21 that is caught consuming alcohol will be asked to leave the premises immediately; if said person is under the age of 18, parents and person(s) in violation of this policy will be asked to leave the premises. Also, any person who knowingly purchases alcohol for minor(s) will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
